PLA
Biodegradable PLA fiber is sustainably produced, based on corn, a renewable source, requiring less energy and emitting less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than other polymers. It is biodegradable under ideal composting conditions – light, humidity, temperature – degrading in months, unlike other plastics such as polyester, which take years to decompose.
