Recot²®

An innovative and eco-friendly yarn made of 75% organic cotton and 25% pre-consumer recycled cotton

Global issues like ecology, climate protection and the use of renewable resources are getting more and more into the focus of the consumer. The aim of project recot²® is to reduce the consumption of water and pesticides by using recycled cotton. Selected cotton waste from spinning, doubling and weaving is processed into a high quality yarn. From an ecological viewpoint a blend of 25% recycled cotton from selected cotton waste and 75% virgin organic cotton means a global water saving of 5,000 litres per 1 kilogram of yarn.

Fact: 1 T-Shirt made with Recot saves 150 buckets of water of about 10 litres each.
